Less than a week after burning a copy of the Quran in Stockholm, far-right politician Rasmus Paludan has done it again in Copenhagen. On Jan 27, Paludan staged his latest Quran-burning protest outside a mosque in Copenhagen, in front of the Turkish embassy. Paludan’s provocative act has further enraged Ankara and the wider Muslim world in general.Paludan, who holds both Danish and Swedish citizenship, has vowed to burn a Quran every week until Sweden is admitted to NATO. In his live broadcast, he said he would repeat the demonstration outside the Turkish and Russian embassies.Like in Stockholm, the far-right politician was surrounded and protected by the police during the stunt.
