Golden Globe Award for
RRR’s Naatu Naatu

Director SS Rajamouli’s RRR took home its first ever Golden Globe Award in Best Song (Motion Picture) category for Naatu Naatu. 

The song was composed by MM Keeravaani and penned by Kala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj.

RRR was released across the globe in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.

It was also nominated in the Best Picture (Non-English Language) category.

RRR is a pre-Independence fictional story around two real-life Indian revolutionaries in the 1920s.

 It stars Ram Charan and
Jr NTR in the lead along with Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in supporting cameos.

The plot explores the undocumented period in  Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Rama Rao) lives.

RRR was not a part of India’s official entry for the Oscars.

The movie has made it to Oscars shortlists for Best Original Song nomination for Naatu Naatu.
