Darkside have announced their third studio album, Nothing. The trio of Nicolás Jaar, Dave Harrington, and recently added drummer Tlacael Esparza will release the record February 28 via Matador, just before their 2025 tour—their first full trek of North American in 11 years. Darkside have shared a new single from their new LP, along with a trippy music video. Check out “S.N.C” below, and scroll down for the album art and tracklist.

Nothing follows Darkside’s 2021 full-length, Spiral. The musicians began rehearsing material for Nothing in 2022, when they rented a storefront in northeast Los Angeles and jammed throughout the summer. They dubbed the space “The Spiral House,” and spent hours improvising. Much of the album was born from these impromptu sessions.

Recording for the album began amid a 2023 tour—the band’s first since 2014. Darkside decamped to a studio in the south of France, and recorded the remainder of the album in studios in Los Angeles and Paris.
